THE CRAFT OF DANCE

Don´t just dance, study and dive deep into an intense process of learning the beautiful art of dance. Focusing on the core techniques of the Afro-Caribbean movement culture, you will learn the most relevant techniques to improve your expression. We will work consistently on improving lines, musicality, expression and artistry and prepare your body for the beautiful choreography we will learn this semester. In addition to this, we will do regular video analysis for your improvement in expression and confidence.

6 month intense training

from September 14th till February every Wednesday from 7.30-10.30pm Berlin time

Our classes are located at Vivace Dance Studio in Berlin-Schöneberg.

Your process is our passion

Training

Three hours of training every week + workshop goodies, extra training and weekend rehearsals before shows. Online students get extra classes to connect, to ask questions and get extra corrections.
Professional Video Shoot

With our Yerba Buena Art Film Studio, we produce professional art and dance films. The shooting is not only a wonderful memory, but it will also push your expression and artistic confidence to a new level. Check out our work here: Yerba Buena Art Film Videothek.
Online Academy

All of our students get access to our Yerba Buena Online Academy. At the Academy, you will find the class replays for the entire duration of the course and get access to the live class. Feel free to repeat classes you have missed or join us online from wherever you are.
What´s not included

An important part of a performance is to transform into a performer with the help of a beautiful costume. Our professional tailor will make an extra costume for you. The costs for this vary a little depending on the project.

Curriculum

In this project we will focus on different styles and explore their fundamentals as a basis for the choreographic studies.
