Does this sound familiar?
"I want to actually understand what I'm doing, not just copy the teacher and figure it out alone"
"I am tired of just learning more steps in every class... No one ever explains why. I don´t feel like I grow"
"I want real individual attention from the teacher, not just generic group corrections"
"I keep taking classes but nothing changes in my dancing. Maybe I am just not talented enough..."
If any of that sounds familiar — the problem isn't you.
Most dance spaces are built around consumption: more steps, more classes, more material. But you're not looking for more. You're looking to go deeper into what you already have. That's a different thing. And it needs a different kind of space. Yerba Buena is a space built for practitioners.
Yerba Buena is build
around practice
A practitioner is not a level. It's an orientation. You might be a complete beginner or you might have been dancing for ten years. That's not what makes you a practitioner. What makes you a practitioner is this:
You want to understand what's happening in your body, not just copy a shape.
You'd rather stay with one thing until it reveals itself than collect ten new combinations.
You reflect on your dancing, you notice patterns, ask questions, and use what you discover.
You see your dancing as something that grows with you over time, not a skill you acquire and tick off.
If you see yourself in this,
then this place has been created for you.

WHAT IS YERBA BUENA CIRCLE ONLINE COMMUNITY?
Weekly Live training with real guidance — not just steps, but the why behind them. A full team of teachers to support your personal journey. Two group coaching sessions a month. Personal 1:1 time with Sarah every Thursday. This is not a class subscription — it's a full practice environment designed to develop your technique, creativity, embodiment, and inner life as a dancer & person.

The Experience
Personal Goal-Setting — you set a goal, learn how to set it properly, discuss it with Sarah, and track it together over time
Live Classes every week — body mechanics, somatics, coordination, embodiment, and creativity. All of our teachers bring a distinct focus; together they cover your technique, artistry, and movement intelligence in full depth.
Replays & Homework — every class is available as a replay, comes with a written summary, reflection prompt, and weekly homework.
Accountability — goals are tracked, progress is revisited, you are not left alone with your intentions.
1:1 private coaching with Sarah — two slots open every Thursday, bookable freely, included in your membership. Not a one-off — a standing door you can walk through whenever you need it.
2x Monthly Group Coaching — dedicated sessions on the psychological and emotional side of dancing: procrastination, performance insecurity, self-expression, helping you build confidence in dance and in life.
Growing Class Library — 75+ recorded classes organized as progressive courses, with new content from all our teachers added continuously.
Ongoing Mentorship — 1:1 video feedback by our teachers, and support from experienced community members throughout your entire process
The Result
You grow technically, artistically, and inwardly. You understand what your body is doing and why. You move through your blocks instead of circling them. And you do all of it surrounded by teachers who see you and practitioners who are on the same path.
The effect Sarah's teaching has had on my dancing is amazing. But for me it is not only about the dancing. its about the confidence, the assurance and above all the community spirit. The feeling of belonging and being part of the group. If this is what you look for go not further , this is the place for you.

THE PEDAGOGY OF EMBODIMENT
Hi, I'm Sarah.
Dancer. Choreographer. Teacher. Philosopher. Coach. Someone who has never been able to choose between the life of the mind and the life of the body – so I've build a practice that refuses the distinction.
The question that has driven most of my life is this: how do we actually know ourselves? I have looked for answers in dance and choreography, in philosophy, in psychology, in coaching, in the body, in the spaces between people when they are really listening to each other.
Dance keeps coming back as the most honest laboratory I have found. And teaching as the highest form of the learning I am always doing. Every time I stand in front of a group of people, I am not transmitting what I know. I am following the question further — with them, through them, because of them.
I am a professional certified coach, trauma-informed and clinically informed. Every body that walks into the room carries a history. The space we build together is one where all of your experience is welcome, nothing needs to be left at the door, and nobody has to perform being fine in order to learn. You will feel that from the first class.
THE PEDAGOGY OF FREEDOM
Hi, I'm Philip.
Dancer. Teacher. Studio Owner. Someone who understands that the steps you already know are not the ceiling. They are the beginning of a much more interesting conversation.

I’m less interested in perfect imitation and more interested in helping people develop understanding, adaptability and authentic expression.I believe that dance becomes most meaningful when people stop trying to simply perform movement and start experiencing it more consciously through rhythm, intention and connection. In my classes, technique is not the final goal, but a tool for deeper communication, creativity and presence.
I enjoy creating spaces where curiosity is encouraged, exploration feels safe and learning becomes a shared experience instead of a performance.
Whether you are searching for stronger fundamentals, more freedom in your movement or a deeper connection to music and yourself, I am dedicated to offer a space to explore, question and grow.

THE PEDAGOGY OF FLUIDITY
Hi, I'm Nora.
Dancer. Teacher. Neuroscientist. Someone who believes that fluidity is not a style but it is what happens when technique finally gets out of its own way.
I came to dance in 2021 and never looked for a way back. Today I teach with a focus on body movement, ladies styling, and the kind of partnering that feels like a conversation rather than a transaction. What drives my teaching is a belief that technique is not the destination — it is what sets you free. I work toward a quality of movement that is fluid, grounded, and genuinely yours. Not a copy of a style. Not a performance of correctness. Something that belongs to your body. In my classes, joy comes first. But joy without substance doesn't last, so I make sure every person leaves with something concrete — a real shift, a new understanding, a detail they can actually use. I give individual feedback, I pay attention, and I create a space where growth doesn't require proving anything to anyone.
THE SCHEDULE
June inside the Circle moves through the body and the mind in equal measure. Philip takes you into your own repertoire — not to add more, but to find what is already there waiting to be uncovered. Nora works with rotation as a doorway into deeper body awareness. And the two group coaching sessions this month go somewhere most dance spaces never go: into how you learn, and into what your nervous system needs to feel safe enough to actually let go. The Thursday 1:1 slots with Sarah are open to all members. Two spots, every week, yours to book freely.

"We are the people we have been waiting for "
Yerba Buena Circle is a space for practitioners.
Not professionals. Not advanced dancers. Not people who have already figured it out. Practitioners — people who approach their dancing as an ongoing inquiry. Curious about what's happening in their body. Interested in the why behind the what. Willing to stay with something long enough for it to actually reveal itself.
That orientation shapes how we are with each other here.
We communicate directly and with care. We stay curious before we conclude. We respect that everyone is at a different place in their body, their understanding, their life — and that showing up honestly is already the work. We support without rescuing. We take the practice seriously and hold ourselves lightly. This is a space you are part of building.

I love Sarah's classes and the Yerba Buena people. Everybody is unique and beautiful in their own way. The classes go far beyond the steps or 123-567 of salsa, they touch the soul.

Train with deeper body connection

You will absolutely thrive in this place if you:
LONG TO GO DEEPER
You approach your dancing as an ongoing inquiry. You're less interested in learning the next combination than in understanding what's happening in your body when you move. You want to know the why.
YOU'RE DONE COLLECTING STEPS
You don't need another combination. You want to understand what you already have, develop it, and own it fully before reaching for more.
YOU ARE HUNGRY FOR REAL SUPPORT
You're done figuring it out alone and ready to be guided, accompanied, and helped to see the best in yourself
WORK THROUGH MENTAL BLOCKS
You know that overthinking, self-doubt, and comparison are part of the process—and you want coaching support to work through them
WANT TO CO-CREATE COMMUNITY
You're ready to show up, practice, contribute, and learn WITH others—not just next to them.
SEE DANCE AS SELF-DISCOVERY
You want to study movement with curiosity and patience, returning to the same material from different angles, and you are treating practice as investigation and a gate to meet yourself deeper.
"I used to think I just wasn't talented enough. Turns out I just needed to be in the right place."

FAQ
Before you join Your questions, answered
These are the real questions people asked me before joining.
I want you to have everything you need to make the right decision for you.
All about the classes
What days & times are the live classes?
Classes start in April on Tuesdays, 7–9pm Berlin time. The day can vary month to month but is always announced well in advance inside the community. Q&A´s and Webinars are usually scheduled on Weekends for maximum concentration.
What platform are the classes on?
Live classes are on Zoom. The Circle platform is where everything else lives, you can access your membership through the yerba-buena.de Website Header. Click "Login Circle" to access the community on Circle — replays, Q&As, community spaces, coaching, and announcements you will find all on Circle.
If I can't join live, is there a replay?
Yes, everything — recent and past classes are recorded and are available in the replay library. Organized by topics easy to filter and find what you are looking for!
What happens if I miss a class — am I on my own with the replay?
No. Members have unlimited support regardless of whether they attend live. You can reach out to Sarah directly, send a video, post in the community, or bring your questions to the weekly Q&A.
Are the weekly live classes in person, hybrid, or online?
Fully online — live via Zoom. You can join from anywhere in the world, all you need is a device with a camera and a bit of space to move.
Does the Circle replace the current in-person classes, or is it an additional format?
The Circle is the new home of Yerba Buena — it replaces the regular in-person classes. This isn't an add-on, it's the evolution of everything we've been building together.
Is this the only format going forward?
Yes, the Circle is the main ongoing offering. It's where the regular teaching, coaching, and community life happens — consistently, week after week.
Will in-person classes ever come back?
Yes — workshops, intensives, and projects will return later in 2026, but with reduced capacity and project based. Circle is the foundation everything else builds on.
All about Pricing & Commitment
Do I need a credit card to register?
Yes. A credit card is required at sign-up because you're committing to the quarter.
Can I cancel after one month if it's not for me?
The Circle runs in quarterly cycles, so the commitment is for the full quarter. That said, if after experiencing the first month of live classes — the format genuinely isn't right for you, reach out and we'll find a fair solution.
How does the quarterly billing cycle work exactly?
The first quarter runs 30 days free from sign-up and then 3 months. After 30 days €149 is charged, covering a full quarter. After that, it renews automatically in 3-month cycles. You can cancel your subscription before every next quarter starts.
Can I join a later cycle if I don't join now?
Yes, the Circle will reopen for new members in future cycles. But the price we offer now will not come back beyond the founding members.
Will the price be the same if I join later?
No. The founding member rate of €149/quarter is locked in for life — but only for people who join now.
Future cycles will be priced higher.
All about Coaching & Community
How does feedback work in an online setting — can you really see me and correct me?
Yes. Classes are live on Zoom, Sarah can see you and give direct, personal feedback during class — just like in person. Sarah has an eagle eye and 25+ years of teaching experience. You can´t hide ;)
What will happen in the Group Coaching Sessions?
Twice a month, we meet specifically to work on the psychological and emotional side of dancing — procrastination, insecurity, building confidence, and finding your own voice in movement. These are not Q&A sessions about footwork. They are spaces where you work on what's actually in your way. Attendance is included in your membership.
Do I need special equipment or will a laptop camera work?
A regular laptop camera is completely fine. No special equipment needed.
What support do I have between classes?
Unlimited support. You can message Sarah directly, send videos for feedback, post questions in the community. You also have two 1:1 coaching slots with Sarah that open every Thursday — book them directly, no waiting list, included in your membership. So "between classes" is never a gap — it's an opportunity.
Do I need an email to sign up?
Yes, an email is needed to create your account and access the community.
What is the Circle platform — where does everything live?
Circle is the community hub where the replay library, Q&As, community discussions, coaching, and all communication live. It's your home base between live classes.
I travel a lot — can this still work for me?
Yes — online actually makes it more flexible. Join live from wherever you are, or catch the replay if the timing doesn't work. And with unlimited support, you're never out of the loop.
